Its fishing time! Sophie caught the first fish on a quick trip to a little pond last night. 

 Not to be outdone, Lucas reeled in the biggest of night.

 Since they are excited about fishing right now, I decided to take them again after school. New location. Lucas was pumped to catch a fish on his first cast. Then he pulled in this bass later.

My idea of a perfect vacation:  slow mornings with coffee and mountain views, back porch reading, front deck sitting, games, lake visits, kayaking/canoeing, fishing, hiking, twinkling stars under a great big sky, and no make-up for 14 days. : )

You know you're in Montana when this is a common sight on the road...

So yeah, I'd say that's a pretty perfect vacation!

New Hoop

A couple months ago Lucas and I came across a good deal on a portable basketball hoop at Wal-Mart. Lucas has been saving his money to buy it and finally had enough last weekend. So we drove to 2 stores, neither had it in stock. Luckily Amazon still had it for the same price, so here it is!
